For nearly the last two years, I can say that I have worked in the "Gun Industry", buying and selling firearms of all makes, models and imaginable flavors. I have a lot of people tell me that I have a dream job. Some days, this is definitely true. Some days it is a nightmare. Irregardless, it is a pretty fun ride, and here I am, sharing some of the things I have learned, seen, and heard with you, my readers. Click read more for some insight and photos of what I see. You get to see a bit of everything
This can be a good, and bad thing. Since working at a gun store, I have seen guns I have only read about. I have seen your common, production guns until I am blue in the face. I have gotten to the point where I can price out about half of the guns that walk through the door without even consulting the blue book. Since I started, I can now glance at most guns and tell if they are original or not.
The Good

The Bad
Of course, along with all the cool, good stuff, you see bad stuff. Taurus products, broken Taurus Products, new lemon guns, and some pretty lame stuff.

An idiot scratch on an otherwise pristine Colt Commander Lightweight in .38 Super.
The Ugly
Unfortunately, all too often, people bring things in that make you go "What the fuck?". Countless bubba'd Military rifles, and shit that simply people should be hung for. If you have a heart condition, please do not scroll down. You have been warned.....
A 1956 Browning Sweet Sixteen that has been drilled and tapped and now sports a Bushnell scope. Also, the buttstock was chopped....
Apparently, someone besides Elmer Keith liked to blow up Smith & Wessons......
Browning High Power Safari that has had the stock cut (obviously by a drunk monkey with Parkinsons). On the plus side, it is the original buttpad!
You know your shit is custom, when the caliber marking is done on the barrel with a Sharpie....
Drill your scope base holes off center? It's cool bro, just drill more!
An all numbers matching (magazine matches as well) BYF43 P.38. Oh, except for the fact that someone chromed it and put a "Solvent Trap Adapter" on the barrel.....
It is the Benelli M3 Super 90 that Arnold used in Eraser! Except that someone torched it....
