Not a day goes by at work where someone comes in asking about the 6.5 Creedmoor. Often times that leads to people asking what is better? 6.5 Creedmoor or .308? After over five years of doing this (and losing more and more of my soul with every day of doing this), I have come up with a definitive list of reasons why you should choose the .308 over 6.5 Creedmoor.
- You are sitting on a stash for 10,000 plus rounds of surplus .308/7.62 NATO and need to dispose of it. Smart thing to do would be to just sell it and fund a stash of quality 6.5 Creedmoor ammo....
- The firearm you want to get is only available in .308. This is a sad, bitter compromise.
- All you care about is turning money into loud noises and puffs in the dirt rapidly while looking cool on Instagram, so you are all about that steel case Russian poverty grade ammo so you can ramble on about “Muh battle rifle”.
- You are over the age of 60, still don’t trust fuel injection or computers, and like to get day drunk and yell obscenities at children. This is the most acceptable reason to purchase a .308 in the year 2018.
These are the only somewhat plausible reasons I could come up with for why you would buy a .308 firearm in the same timeline that 6.5 Creedmoor exists.
