After parking there was a man in the parking lot scalping PMAGs, 5.56, and .22LR ammo. Never seen that before! There was a line of people AROUND the convention center, with approximately 2,000 people already in it. That was just the line to get a ticket to get in. There was another equally long line to get into the show. We did not make it into the show until after 10:00 AM. Then the line started to the ammo booth. I did not make it close enough to get prices, but I was told 5.56 reloads were close to $.75 a round, with limits initially being a case, but later being changed to a maximum of 250 rounds.
There were plenty of outrageously priced items on the tables. DMPS Oracle's and Bushmaster ORC's were $1750 and up. Stripped ATI Polymer lowers were $399 and up, Aero Precision stripped lowers were $650. Ruger BX25 Magazines were $75, PMAGs were $50 and up.
One thing I noticed was the rifles were not moving. I saw people purchasing pistols, but none of the high priced black rifles were moving. The magazines were about the same. Ammo was in full retard though, with people standing in line for over an hour to get some. Some small tables had M855 priced at nearly $1.50 a round, with cases of 55gr PMC .223 for $800.
I left in shock, without buying a single thing. All in all I spent $15 on admission and parking, but walked away with my mind blown.
