At one point in time I had 7 different calibers of semi auto rifles. From a logistical standpoint, this is a damned nightmare. As I have grown older I have simplified things quite a bit. That being said, if I were to do it all again, I would start off with only three guns. As my interests progressed I would go from there, but here are three firearms I would start my collection off with.
Rifle: AR15
If I had to start out again I would purchase a quality AR15 with a 16" barrel and adjustable stock. If I was on a budget I would probably purchase a Colt 6920. The 6920 is the standard as to how AR's are judged, and if I ended up not liking it, I would not lose much on resale. If I were to have a higher budget I would purchase a Noveske of the 16" variety, as I already have one and I know they are a quality piece.
Shotgun: Remington 870
Pistol: Glock 19
In Closing..
With these three weapons you would be able to do quite a bit, all the way from zero to 500 yards. What are your thoughts on this?
