Hi Erick.Good video, it takes some balls to rubbish STI. Over here they are considered like Gods and you pay through the nose. If not reliable ditch the fucker and go Glock...I know not much fun since everyone does, but hey we have one life only havent we? Not much glamour in Glocks but you can bet your life on it as a personal sidearm. As far as I am concerned cant get used to the trigger for accurate shots, but they go flawlessly.. What about your Steyr M9 ? Evidently you have an axe to grind with STI and with such advertising you would expect them to act appropriately.
So far, STI has not shown interest in fixing it, Such as life though, who knows I may become a Glock fan!
Are you by any chance from the north eastern chunk of Nevada? I was reading through your Aug review(having recently bought my own) and about crapped myself when I saw Elko County. Not trying to be weird or pushy or anything, but it'd be nice to know there's fellow Nevadans out here!
You are correct, that is from the Wells area (where I am originally from). Born and raised there for 18 years, living in Reno now.
Make it a battle born trio: I'm from Las Vegas and i stumbled across this site the exact same way -- reading about the AUG. Been digging it ever since. In fact, out of all opinions out there on guns, i most definitely subscribe to the ideas on here. I generally dislike ARs and opt for something a bit different. Not different for the sake of being different, but just a new way to look at functional differences.
Like Erick, i also recommend a glock to new users. I have a 17 and 19, and am thinking about getting another 19. I also had a steyr m9a1 but got rid of it because of extractor kinks, which supposedly have been fixed since. I just picked up my AUG but haven't fired it yet.
Keep up the great work!
Great video dude! Content was there, video and audio quality just need a bump. That comes with time. In response to the Glock comment, it its true they ate more reliable in snow, dust, and basically the level of shit we armchair operators claim to do on a daily basis. However, in a range setting, there is no reason to have to clear your gun every magazine. That its plain stupid. Also Eric, you should do a post on the saga of the sig mosquito.
