This place has been on my list of sites to go to for 2, maybe 3 years now. Ever since I got really into exploring I have wanted to go here. Just so happened that it was close by the sites we hit in the morning when we went out, so we finally made it here. And to say it did not disappoint was an understatement. I already have to go back at least one more time because it is that good. Hell, I am half chubbed up just thinking about it, it is THAT good.
The weather has been absolutely shit for nearly 4 months here. Snow nearly every weekend, and it always hit on my weekends because that is just how my luck is. Luckily the weather finally cleared up (for one day) and I was able to head east with my buddy Rob and check out a site we had both had marked for a couple months, and as luck had it, an additional spot that I had marked for several years.
Welcome, and what is this?
I have been exploring more than shooting lately. I have always been into it, but have been much more serious about it for the last couple years. To make things easier to find, I am now separating this from my regular content. I take pictures and videos of the places I visit, so I will be doing little write ups and picture dumps here, and at a later time will be uploading the videos to YouTube and linking them here.
"Where is this?"
I will not share the locations of places I visit, and I will not use their names, as many of the awesome places have been ruined by social media posts, driving people to go out there and inevitably ruin it. For many of these locations myself and others have spent a significant amount of times locating them via searching endlessly on Google Earth, looking up mining records, or accidentally finding them while driving out in the desert. I will not spoon feed anyone locations for them to go check out. You can put in the work and find them yourself, or if I like you, you can go with me.
Harsh, but fair.
